This was some of the last work I did for S2 Games. It was a great adventure! I learned a lot and got to make some cool concepts. I had a ton of fun with my team. I'm ready to take on the next adventure. 

Rift Devourer

As you will see in this video link below. Rift Devo has a parasite that is engulfing Devos body. In the Rift you are changed by it or you give your self to creatures in the rift. Devo here gave him self to this parasitic creature to gain power. With it the parasite engulfed his body and wrapped its tentacles threw the body like bio armor and turned him into a bioluminescence terror!

Rift Slayer

Rift slayer here is one of the Hunters of the Rift. His overall goal is to stop the creatures of the Rift from coming into the world of Newerth. Rift slayer knew more then many about what the rift would do if it came out into Newerth, for he had been effected by the Rift. A parasite engulfed his hand but he had will to keep the parasite in check that many did not. He used the powers to fight for Newerth against the Rift creatures.

Hammer Lord

Hammer lord was a elite warrior of the Dwarf kingdom. He was a part of the Dwarf Kings Guard. A small group of the strongest and bravest warriors among the dwarfs. Hammer lords ability to wield his enormous hammer as if it weighed nothing at all gave him a ability to wreck people on the battlefield. Being of the kings guard meant you wore the part. Flashy armor never held back this dwarf. To him it just meant he would kick butt in style!

Design 3 contrasting concepts based on the following description: 

Design a bipedal character that exists in a desert world.  It has adapted to withstand long periods of time without water.  It has the ability to walk above and below the desert floor.  It is proud, resourceful, and intelligent.  

Take no more then 6 hours to develop all 3 concepts

 

1. This creature of the great sands is a Nomad. With the powers trained upon him to mold special sands into rare and unique objects. Sometimes the journey takes this creature on far travels. Its many eyes allow it to watch around its self for many dangers appear. Most of its Travels take place at night. Its nocturnal vision allows it to see great distances at night. In the day time it cannot see further then a human. Its high ability to smell allows foraging in this rough terrain a easier task then for many.

2. This creature is of a roaming tribe of desert care takers. These creatures are of plant origin. Therefore they have a symbiotic relation ship with Cactus and other plants. Which will literally grow on them. They use theses plants to absorb mass amounts of water in there long travels. Much like elephants of Africa these creatures have to travel very long distances when there is no rainy season which is very short on this desert planet. The tribes of these roamers will walk for many days to reach other oasis where they can be found in great numbers standing in the waters absorbing waters. The creature is believed to be one of the main reasons this planet still has plant life. It is a great care tender to other plant oriented species and one of the main reasons oasis look so lush and elegant. For most of their time is spent in the areas around the oasis.

3. This bipedal Dragon lizard look a alike is a creature of the sands who is more of a vicious breed. Found mostly roaming at night and basking in the sunlight these creatures are not fond of others. They are skittish and will jump to aggression faster then most. The creature has large orange pore sacks that hold large amounts of water. Most of these sacks are found on the tail. Moisture has a very low evaporation rate threw this creatures skin. These creatures will drink large amounts of water until each sack is close to exploding before they will start on there distant journeys. The creatures are known for there tactics and are common in teaming up to create raiding party's on villages of  creatures. 

Rift Preadator. HoN. S2 Games.

This was a concept I did for Rift Predator. This was done for S2 Games. It was apart of our Rift creatures series. Basically these creatures were in a dimension that had no sun light. Everything was lit by bioluminescence. The sky's would have auras and storms of lightning but never any sunlight. We had a lot of fun discussions based on this rift plane. This Predator alt was in my mind a king of the jungle type creature. A lion among this dimension. Revered and feared. Hope you enjoy!

NATIONAL PIRATE DAY IN MY BRAIN!

Today was a "I'm gonna wake up and do pirates" day. Isn't it national pirate day? I think my brain just said yeah its national pirate day. So I concepted pirates. Thus the world appreciation pirate day was started. 6/18/2013.

3 Swat/Soldier concepts

Three SWAT/Soldier guys I concepted for fun. Some swat guys. Just wanted to do some scratches before I went to bed. I think in total about 3 hours. Wish I had some more time and wasn't so tired and could do a few more alterations.

I dreamed about this last night. I am glad I took the time to make it. I picture it being some little rebel hide out or something. Hope you dig!

This was fun and interesting. I did a Matte/digital illustration then made it feel like old film. Anyways my last little illustration of the night! Gotta love the good old cowboy shoot outs! The whole time listening to Red Dead Redemption soundtrack which is awesome western style jams!

Kalamazoo Overgrown 3 Stadium

Kalamazoo Overgrown 3rd Image. Western football field. Hope you Enjoy Kalamazoo! As well as anyone out there who likes to see things overgrown! Few more to come!

The 2nd of the Overgrow Kalamazoo Project I am doing. I had a lot of fun doing this one. Its a weird feeling to step back after working on it for the past hours and think about if this was actually what this city looked like. Exciting!  More to come. Later!

Something I have been wanting to do all winter was to get photos of my Hometown Kalamazoo Michigan and Overgrow/apocalyptic the town. My friend Allie let me use her camera to go around and capture what I feel are some of the iconic places or fun places to overgrow in Kalamazoo. I'm still trying to think if I want this to be a period when a minimal human population still exists in the area or if it is a all humans evacuated or have passed. This is going to be a on going series using Photo, Matte and Digital illustration. Hope you enjoy!

 

Today I wanted to do some tech/sci fi landscape. In the end I made this science lab on a planet. Took me a total of 4 hours I think. Just some practice!

Female sci fi character concept. Something I threw together in about 4.5 hours. Was just trying out some techniques i hadn't used before.

Recent work over the past few weeks.

 Some concepts of some super soldiers - Commando, Smuggler and Captain. I chose to go with the Merc color scheme.

 Mad Max style road warrior. as well some apocalyptic fun!
